Wave was built on a simple belief — recruitment should be services-led, not transactional. Less about volume, more about getting it right first time.

That means knowing the difference between a process engineer and a device engineer. Understanding what genuinely motivates a specialist to make a move — and what will put them off. Knowing what salary expectations look like across your market right now, and being honest with clients when the brief and the budget don’t match.

We’re a small, deliberately focused operation. You’ll always work directly with Imogen — no handoff to a junior consultant once the fee is agreed.

Imogen Moody — Founder

I started Wave five years ago because I thought recruitment could be done differently — services-led, not transactional, with the same level of care given to candidates as to clients.

I work with some of the biggest names in our sectors and the most exciting startups — placing specialist engineers and technical leaders across semiconductors, AI hardware, defence and aerospace, and robotics. These are markets where technical credibility matters, the talent is scarce, and the wrong hire is expensive.

Five years in, the approach is the same: understand the brief properly, give honest market insight, and move with pace. Exceptional service as standard, first time right, delivered with speed.
