Principal Analog IC Design Engineer – Next-Gen Wireless Technology
Job Description:
A fast-growing semiconductor company is seeking a Analog IC Design Engineer to contribute to the development of cutting-edge Wi-Fi chips designed for next-generation IoT applications.
You’ll play a key role in designing and optimizing analog systems and circuits to push the limits of performance. As a senior member of the technical team, you’ll collaborate closely with experts across analog, systems, digital, and implementation disciplines, supporting chip development from initial design to production and testing.
What You’ll Bring:
- In-depth knowledge of CMOS transistor operation
- Strong expertise in circuit design, including Rx/Tx, op-amps, data converters, PMU circuits, PLLs, etc.
- Experience in Analog/RF IC design
- Comfortable working in a GNU/Linux development environment
- Understanding of the IEEE 802.11 standard
- Proficiency in analog modeling languages such as Verilog-A
- Experience using Matlab/Octave for analysis
- Proven track record of bringing wireless chips to mass production
- Experience with IC design tools from leading EDA vendors
- Familiarity with revision control systems (e.g., Git)
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, verify, and model analog circuits
- Conduct chip bring-up and performance testing
- Assist with chip qualification and product engineering
- Identify and debug functional and performance issues
- Compare simulation results against system expectations
- Validate bench measurements with system designs
