Quality Engineer (Process/Supplier)

Job Specification:

Role overview:
Responsible for ensuring the quality of internal processes and external suppliers within semiconductor manufacturing operations. Works closely with design, process, manufacturing, and sourcing teams to maintain high standards, drive continuous improvement, and ensure product reliability and compliance.

Key responsibilities:

• Evaluate, audit, and qualify new suppliers

• Develop and maintain supplier quality agreements and performance metrics

• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for supplier issues

• Monitor supplier performance and implement improvement plans

• Implement SPC and APQP methodologies

• Support new product introduction (NPI) by ensuring supplier readiness

• Act as liaison between internal teams and suppliers on quality expectations

Required skills & experience:

• 3–7 years quality engineering experience, with 2+ years in supplier quality

• Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes

• Strong communication, negotiation, and supplier management skills

• Ability to travel domestically/internationally

Desirable experience:

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

• Proactive, prevention-focused mindset

• Experience in cleanroom manufacturing

Tools & methods:

• Auditing, PPAP, FAI, APQP, SPC, MSA, FMEA, 8D

• Data analysis tools
