Head of Automotive
Role overview:
Own the strategy and execution of the automotive AI acceleration business, leading cross-functional efforts across business development, product strategy, and ecosystem partnerships. Provide executive leadership and authority, defining the company’s positioning, driving customer engagements, and ensuring products meet automotive market needs, including functional safety and reliability standards. As the business scales, you will build and lead a dedicated automotive business line, influencing industry adoption and delivering high-impact solutions to OEMs and Tier 1 partners.
Key responsibilities:

Build and nurture relationships across OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, semiconductor partners, and research institutions

Represent the company in automotive industry forums, standards groups, and EU-funded projects

Lead responses to RFIs, RFQs, and partnership inquiries from automotive customers

Develop marketing and positioning materials to promote technology in the automotive sector

Identify strategic business opportunities and establish pilot programs or joint development activities

Produce Market Requirements Documents (MRDs) capturing evolving automotive AI needs

Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define features, functional safety requirements (ASIL, ISO 26262), and roadmap alignment

Translate customer and ecosystem insights into clear product priorities and differentiation strategies
Required skills & experience:
-
10+ years’ experience in automotive semiconductor, software, or systems industries

Exposure to OEM or Tier 1 programs and complex cross-functional initiatives

Strong understanding of automotive electronics, AI/ADAS systems, and functional safety standards

Proven track record in market entry, ecosystem development, or emerging technology adoption

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with technical and executive stakeholders

Entrepreneurial mindset, capable of building structure and momentum in a growing business
Desirable experience:

Experience leading emerging technology adoption in automotive markets

Exposure to AI acceleration or high-performance automotive compute platforms
Tools & methods:

Market analysis and ecosystem development frameworks

Automotive functional safety standards (ISO 26262)

Business development, RFx response, and strategic partnership execution

Cross-functional program and project leadership methodologies
