Simulink Software Engineer

Salary: Up to £54,000 per annum

Hybrid/remote – 3 days home working

We are looking for a Simulink Software Engineer like you to develop powertrain products across their lifecycle. You’ll work with a small team in a multinational company, primarily focusing on vehicle traction batteries and BMS system development. This is a role where you’ll be able to progress your skills and develop into a senior engineer.

 Responsibilities:

1. Develop Simulink models for automotive model-based systems engineering, especially for Battery Management Systems and EV applications.
2. Assist with documentation, reviews, and certification activities related to 26262 standards.
3. Collaborate with other teams on integration tasks and support application software development.
4. Adhere to Health & Safety policies, Quality, and Environmental policies in line with ISO9001.
5. Support ISO26262, ISO9001, and ISO14001 reviews, documentation, and audits.

Essential Experience:

1. Systems engineering background with knowledge of the development lifecycle for safety-critical applications.
2. Automotive experience, including HV applications and ISO26262.
3. Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink development.
4. Experience with embedded control systems.
5. Hands-on and methodical approach to testing, fault finding, and commissioning.
6. Self-motivated and enthusiastic about involvement in all development stages.

Desirable Skills:

1. Battery Management System experience.
2. Familiarity with ISO26262, ISO9001, ISO14001, and internal IMS policies and processes.
