Job Specification:
Role overview:
Own the end-to-end hardware engineering strategy and execution for system-level AI platforms built around advanced accelerator technologies. This role provides executive leadership and technical ownership across all hardware development activities, from architecture and design through validation and volume production.
Lead a multidisciplinary hardware engineering organisation, ensuring high-performance, reliable, and manufacturable designs that meet performance, cost, and scalability targets. Act as the senior technical escalation point while aligning hardware execution with system integration, silicon, software, supply chain, and productisation efforts.
Key responsibilities;

Provide technical authority across hardware architecture, schematics, PCB design, power delivery, SI/PI, thermal, and mechanical integration

Own hardware execution and strategy from design reviews through validation, qualification, and volume production

Lead a multidisciplinary engineering organisation, ensuring accountability and growth for senior technical talent

Define and enforce engineering processes, validation methodologies, and quality gates

Identify and mitigate technical risks; lead root cause analysis and resolution of escalations

Align hardware execution with system integration, silicon, software, and manufacturing readiness

Translate product and technology strategy into actionable engineering plans, priorities, and schedules

Ensure designs meet performance, reliability, cost, and manufacturability targets
Required skills & experience:
-
15+ years’ experience in complex hardware engineering environments
-
5+ years’ experience in senior engineering leadership roles
-
Proven delivery of high-speed, power-dense electronics into volume production
-
Deep understanding of PCB design, power delivery, SI/PI, validation, and DFM/DFT
-
Hands-on capability to review schematics, layouts, simulations, and lab data
-
Strong leadership, decision-making, and cross-functional communication skills
Desirable experience:

AI accelerator or high-performance compute platforms

Server-level hardware and system integration

Embedded compute, firmware, or board bring-up exposure
Tools & methods:

Hardware architecture and design review processes
-
SI/PI and power integrity analysis methodologies
-
Validation, qualification, and reliability testing

DFM/DFT/DFR and structured NPI processes

Location: Fully Remote (London-based)
Salary: £160,000 + benefits
