Manager Product Engineering – Automotive
Role overview:
Oversee all phases of product engineering, new product development, and production support for advanced automotive power semiconductor devices. Lead the team responsible for delivering high-performance MOSFET products from definition through characterisation, qualification, and production release.
Key responsibilities:

Hands-on technical management of new and established automotive power semiconductor products

Lead new product introduction from definition, development, characterisation, qualification, to release
-
Support product problem-solving across manufacturing, quality, applications, and customer-facing teams
-
Prepare and present technical updates, project status, and engineering insights to senior leadership

Collaborate with global wafer fabrication and package assembly teams to improve yield and quality

Define and review product datasheets and technical specifications

Implement statistical test methods to optimize yield and drive defect reduction

Manage cross-functional change control and support NPI (New Product Introduction) initiatives
Required skills & experience:
-
Extensive product engineering experience in power semiconductor devices (MOSFETs, Trench MOS technologies)

Proven ability to manage and deliver multiple product introductions simultaneously

Strong analytical skills for yield optimization, failure analysis, and data-driven problem solving

Experience supporting offshore facility-to-facility product transfers

Proven leadership and team management skills, including international teams

Familiarity with 8D, FMEA, and structured quality processes

Willingness to travel to offshore sites as required
Desirable experience:

Knowledge of automotive qualification standards (AEC Q101)

Familiarity with wafer and package test methodologies
Tools & methods:

Statistical Process Control (SPC), DOE, FMEA

Product lifecycle management and change control systems

Reliability and failure analysis processes

Salary: £150,000 per year + benefits
