Senior BMS Test Engineer

Location; Coventry 

Salary up £55,000 plus benefits

Hybrid: 3 days home working

Are you a BMS testing engineer who enjoys supporting the product development lifestyle?

A varied role in the type of work but predominantly based around vehicle traction batteries.

You will be a part of a small team with a methodical, hands-on approach to testing, fault, finding and commissioning of systems.

Essential Experience:

• Test systems engineering background and understanding of the development lifecycle for a safesafety-criticallication.
• Able to develop test cases from requirements
• Battery Management System Experience.
• Experience of MIL/SiL/PiL/HiL testing using industry-standard tools
• Automotive experience and ISO26262.
• MATLAB/Simulink development.
• Scripting using industry standard tools and processes (Python, CAPL)
• Automotive Communications Standards (CAN, Flexray, LIN)
• Experience of embedded control systems.

Requirements:

• Take a lead role in the testing of automotive systems engineering for Battery Management systems and other EV applications.
• Define approaches to test development and application.
• Develop Model in the Loop, Software in the Loop, and Processor in the Loop test systems.
• Develop test cases from requirements & Develop test environments and test scripts
• Develop simulation models to support testing
• Run tests, report results, and liaise with the development team to track and test fixes

Desirable Skills:

• Industry standard HiL tools (dSPACE, National Instruments, Speedgoat)
• Electronics hardware fault finding.
