Job Title: Senior Electronics Engineer

Location: Shepton Mallet- Somerset

Salary: up to £60,000 per year

We are working with a leading global company in subsea conservation, and due to growth and redesigning, we are looking for a Senior Electronics Design Engineer.

You would join an established marine tech company offering great support, career growth, and the chance to shape the seabed with conservation management.

Innovation is ideal, and you’ll be designing cutting-edge products for sensitive measurement devices and be involved in managing the complete development cycle from concept to launch. Our tech thrives in challenging conditions with FPGA, signal processing, sonar, and radar tech.

Key Skills

• Developing analogue design, including mixed-signal simulation
• Micro-controller/CPLD hardware with working knowledge of associated software design.
• PCB layout high-speed digital & / design, including conventional and SMD.
• Designing for ‘local’ (intra-system) EMC, controlled impedance, and low noise.
• Use of CAD tools and systems : OrCAD, Allegro, AutoCAD, Altium, MathCAD, MatLab
• FPGAs’s using VHDL.
• Schematic capture, BOMs, technical drawings,
• EMI, impedance matching and layer stack-up
• Design for EMC and EMC Measurement and Mitigation techniques.
