Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer – EV Components  

We are working with a major global company that specialises in designing EV components, including ECUs, Traction Inverters, and Electric Drive Units in Oxford. With continued growth and success, they are looking for a Junior/Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer to join the team.

You will be joining an experienced team that offers you opportunities for development, growth, and the chance to advance your career to the highest level you aspire to achieve. As a part of this team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and working alongside other teams to oversee the entire development cycle.

You will be working on:

 You will be establishing the product description via model, drawing, boundary diagram, FMEA and CAE verification.

Overview:

Your role includes designing and testing engineering solutions, managing product development projects, supporting suppliers for prototype delivery, prioritising workflow, providing guidance to colleagues, analysing data, contributing to drafting engineering standards, staying updated on technology, and working as a team.

Experience: Essential:

• Mechanical design experience.
• Knowledge of production processes and quality systems.
• Solid modelling and drafting skills.

 Desirable:

• Experience in prototype manufacture.
• Proficiency in CAD software.
• Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis.
• Understanding of electric motors.
