Title-Full Stack Engineer

Location- Manchester

Salary – £75,000

Technology- TypeScript with Vue3 and NestJS, AWS services for cloud infrastructure, Docker

 Full Stack engineer role within a game-changing AI environmental technology company.

Your code will be used to help major UK utilities, make drastic improvements to their infrastructure. The technology you’ll be working on can save billions of gallons of water, improve company spending, and will impact the services to millions of customers.

The Role

This role focuses on building a complex mapping and reporting application, written in Vue3, Nest, and PostGIS, deployed in Docker to EC2.

You’ll work closely with software colleagues and the wider engineering team in architecting to support the AWS cloud environment, required to deliver predictive modeling solutions to large enterprise-grade water companies globally.

Your primary responsibility will be to maintain, improve and direct the EC2 and Docker environments. You can influence the tech stack if needed, perhaps you prefer something other than Docker?

Your secondary role will be to extend our basic automated test coverage, both e2e integration tests and unit tests. They currently use vite-test, Puppeteer, Mocha and Chai, but welcome suggestions that would enable you to perform your best work.

Necessary skills, qualifications, and experience:

• Competency with Typescript, Vue3 and NestJS
• Competency with Linux admin
• Understanding/proficiency with microservice structures, specifically: EC2, S3, AWS security groups
• Docker and/or similar experience
• Any modern e2e test JS libraries
• Any JS/TS unit test libraries
• Agile or Kanban methodologies and Jira
• Bonus: experience with npm monorepos Composition API, PostGIS, spatial SQL
